This video addresses the crucial issues of peace, conflict and violence, setting out a number of principles in the Living Humanism guide tied to these areas. Stated explicitly in these principles and supported by other principles, we must pursue peaceful cooperation and collaboration and must not pursue aggressive violence and revenge. That being said we must defend ourselves and others from aggressive violence as far as we can, and may use physical force for that protection, though we must aim to cause the minimal level of pain and suffering to those involved in implementing callous, aggressive violence.
